David founded his first company in Austin in 2014 — a developer-tools startup that he ran for five years before selling to a Series-D infrastructure company in 2019. After a year at the acquirer leading developer experience, he co-founded a second company: an open-source observability platform that raised a Series A in 2020.

In 2021, David stepped back from operating and started Inprimio Capital. His thesis was simple: the best infrastructure founders are building the things they needed at their previous companies. They're not pitching investor TAM decks — they're shipping GitHub repos. He wanted to be the first call.

David focuses on pre-seed rounds, infrastructure tooling, and open-source-native companies. He sits on the boards of Lago, Trigger.dev, and Highlight.io.

Tessa joined Inprimio in 2022 as the firm's first hire and only investing partner besides David. Before joining, she was the community lead for a widely-used open-source developer project — the kind that has millions of GitHub stars and maintainers spread across three continents.

She then moved into product at a Y Combinator-backed B2B SaaS company, where she worked directly with the engineering and developer-experience teams. That background shapes how she evaluates developer tools: from both the maintainer side and the enterprise buyer side.

Tessa leads sourcing and runs the firm's community relationships. She focuses on open-source-native companies, AI-adjacent developer tooling, and teams that are pre-seed or at the earliest stage of seed.
